Balmain Broke The Net

It’s officially 4 weeks to Christmas and I’m sunning myself on Dubai! I’m taking advantage of shopping for bikinis to save up for summer 2015 and filling up on lingerie from Victoria Secrets. During my shopping trip in the Mall of the Emirates, I was hoping that there was going to be pre-sale of the H&M X Balmain collection as I am keeping on red alert on 5th November to purchase some of this seasons most anticipated collection.

We arrived back from Dubai on 4th November to rain and fog in Manchester, but I was already logging onto see if any of the collection had been leaked online! Much to my disappointment, the H&M website crashed at 9.09am UK time and by the time I had access to it everything has sold out. Typical!

Magazines and newspapers worldwide have featured how Balmain broke the net. It seems like in the retail industry these days that if you break the net, you’re a hit! Oliver Rousteing made a genius move by attending this year’s Billboard Music Awards with Kylie, Kendall and Kim all as his muses wearing his new collection, making it the most in demand collection of this year.

Shops and stores around the world sold out minutes with dedicated shoppers and fans camping outside the stores 2 days ahead of the launch, who were given wrist bands with 15 mins allocated shopping time and told they could only purchase one of each item.

There’s always a plan B, and mine was EBAY! I hunted, searched and watched over 15 items, going for double, some of them triple the original retail price. Then finally victory…The green sequinned emerald dress, worn by Kendall Jenner on the ad campaign was now mine, at £210 it was worth every penny. Let see how many times I get away with wearing this sparkly number over Xmas!
