Glitterballing

It’s that time of year again where Summer starts to come to a close and the Autumn season kicks in. This means a flurry of events in the run up to Christmas! This month we were supporting two of Paul’s clients from The Real Housewives of Cheshire stars Seema Malhorta and Dawn Ward.

I was lucky enough to visit Seema’s showroom at Forever Unique the week before to pick two stunning dresses to wear for both events. The first one in the diary was Seema’s ‘Around The World’ dance competition at the Mere Golf and Spa hotel in Knutsford. The dress code was glitz and glamour and was attended and filmed by other cast members of the ITV reality TV show. The event was in aid of Once Upon a Smile and the Limbless Association who gave heartfelt speeches about some of their cases live on stage. To lift the tone of the evening, the cast members all danced with professional partners on stage in Strictly Come Dancing style to an audience and judging panel to rate their performance. The night turned in to a epic night of dancing and live entertainment including Dax on Sax, a favourite of mine who also played at our wedding!

The following day was Romeo’s 2nd birthday so I tried to stay relatively sober so I didn’t have too much of a headache looking after 15 children and 2 Teletubbies! The day flew by, and soon it was time to get ready for our next event, The Creme de la Creme Ball hosted by Dawn and Ashley Ward at their home in Great Warford, Alderley Edge. They build a marquee in their back garden which is as grand and as opulent as a luxury wedding venue!

We were greeted to a champagne reception on a bus that was turned into a bar, this was followed by a three course dining experience, and an auction all in aid of the Caudwell Children charity. Two of the children came on stage and gave wonderful speeches and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Stars from reality TV and soaps were in full force from Coronation Sreet to TOWIE and Made in Chelsea.

The event was a huge success and really makes you realise how lucky we are to have the ability to walk, talk and other things we take for granted, some people do not have that privilege. That night, or should I say early hours of the morning, I went home and gave my sleeping babies the biggest kisses ever.

It would be fair to say that I had a very sore head in the morning, but it was back to mummy duties as always, as Rocco was modelling in a fashion show for new father and son brand, Man Cub at Menagerie restaurant in Manchester. I was chaperoning him to make sure he was comfortable with his pretend Daddy for the day and his costume change, but he was totally fine and said I could go out and watch instead! He strutted his stuff in his matching outfit with his ‘Daddy’ to a full house and an super proud Mummy.

Its fair to say its been a full on weekend, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
