Its been a while since I got myself out of the house baby and hubby free to attend an event, but when Stacey Forsey invited me to the launch of her new lifestyle brand it was a great excuse to catch up with the girls. Having attended her art exhibition last year at Menagerie, I was super curious to see what Stacey had been working on over the past twelve months.
Other than being a mum of two to Zac and Grace, wife to David, co-owning a prestigious Manchester bar and restaurant and starring in the popular ITVbe reality TV show ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’, Stacey has also been busy working on her new brand Stacey Forsey Lifestyle showcasing a collection of fashion, soft furnishings and home accessories.
Tshirts, candles, cushions and prints can now be purchased online, allowing you to buy a small piece of Stacey’s creative personality. Making bonefide art can time-consuming and pricey which is why Stacey wanted to make her designs accessible and unique to her customers. I must say, I am a huge fan of a good slogan tee (all £28) so I had to buy one of these items! Many of her fans will recognise some of the slogans from scenes of her ever so dramatic reality TV show.
I am a sucker for candles, my all time favourite being Jo Molone and Molton Brown, so scents like Pomegranate and Freesia & Pear instantly hook me straight in. A light burn fragranced my living room for hours, so at £30 per candle it was a good investment, making them perfect Christmas gift for my friends and family.
Taking inspiration from her last exhibition ‘Taking Risks’ Stacey has brought her collection to life by showcasing them in accessible prints. ‘Elated’, ‘Carefree’, ‘Lady in the Sea’, ‘Go with It’, ‘Untitled’ and ‘My Way’ to name a few, are all the aptly named pieces of art which can now be made to order.
To add a touch of texture to the collection, you can also purchase super luxurious velvet piped cushions in a range of different colours to add glamour to your furnishings and make colours pop in each piece of printed artwork.
The launch of the brand was held at Menagerie on 7th December with a guest list of industry influencers, bloggers, press, her close friends and family and the support of fellow ‘housewife’ Seema Malhotra. Guests were welcomed with glasses of fizz, festive beverages and were free to shop, schmooze and spend time admiring the collection of tshirts, cushions, candles and art.
After spending some time with Stacey, I really wanted to grasp what was behind her concept, she said,
‘This brand is an extension of me, my life’s chapters, my loves, my influences, my experiences and my visions all expressed through the things I love; fashion and lifestyle. I’d love to think that my work can inspire positivity, I always feel as though I have an inner peace when I’ve completed a painting.’
Following the success of the launch, plans are underway for the next collection and whispers of a pop-up shop. I am now eagerly anticipating, what Stacey does next…? Super excited for her next chapter.
