Since being on maternity leave I have had more time to look into my beauty regime and invest in a few more treats. My skin has become very patchy and dry so I headed to Clarins for a facial and was recommended to use their exfoliator and facial wash. I love Clarins products as they really tend to suit my skin type which is combination – oily on the T zone and dry on the cheeks, but since being pregnant is been very up and down. I’ve been using the Pure Melt Cleansing Gel (£21.00) for a week now. Its a gel facial wash that turns milky when wet and I can feel the difference already. I also moisturise and live by Palmers Coco Butter (£3.75) , as it always sorts out my dry skin.
I came across Khase Cosmetics on Instagram who cater for black skin types. They have a range of lip shades that I fell in love with so when they were kind enough to send me some samples, I was delighted. The lipstick texture is silky to apply and the pigment is sharp and vibrant. I tend to wear berry, red and pinky shades, which compliment my skin tone. I was spoilt for choice with 3 shades; Russian, Vamp and Lace (£6.00) which have a matte finish which are perfect for an evening out.
Anyone who knows me knows that my hair is my thing! So when it was time to visit my hair stylist, I opted for some thicker hair extensions and added an extra bundle. I wear Peruvian hair extensions from Magic Mirror Luxury Hair, which I blogged about in my previous post The Virgin Queen. I love having thick, fuller locks which I can wear straight or curl depending on the occasion.
