I cannot believe how fast time has flown, with only one week to go until my little baby arrives. I am full of sheer excitement, no nerves yet. I just cant wait to meet my little man! This week has been full on with lots of little things such as finalising the baby’s nursery with wall art and buying some last minute bits for my little Prince. I have used a professional company to wall art all the kids bedrooms as an alternative to just paint and wallpaper. For the nursery, I decided on having Tinkerbell sat on a moon blowing stars into the sky. Its silver, simple and fits perfectly with the cream and chrome decor.
Over the past few months I have invested in some fabulous baby products, and here are my top 5 baby buys;
Sleepyhead Sleeping pod
I first saw these on Instagram and ordered one straight from Sweden. They just look so cosy, like sleeping on a cloud, and with Rocco not sleeping through the night until 11 months old, I am hoping this will be my saviour this time around. I’ve also seen lots of my mummy friends buying and raving about the Sleephead too, £149.
I’ve always used this range and had a great experience so far. 2 years on there are more and more products on the market, including limited edition anti colic bottles and breast pump pouches for expressing on the go. This time I also invested in the nappy disposel unit, £12.99, which allows you to put soiled nappies in without the odour lingering around the house. With having two children in nappies soon, this will be a lifesaver.
Rocco has had eczema since he was 4 months old, so its possible that the new baby may have the same skin condition. Rocco uses his own prescribed medicated cream and bath ointment, but I also read an article online about the chemicals that can be found in baby products, so I’ve looked for organic ones on the market. I thought I would try the Cowshed Baby Organics, range and bought the frothy baby body and hair wash £8.50. It contains natural ingredients that is delicate on baby’s skin, so I am looking forward to using this for his first little bath.
Travel systems can be difficult to choose with so many mixed reviews surfacing the internet. I bought the Quinny range two years ago and will be reusing it again this time around. The carrycot, car seat, stroller pod and 3 wheel chassis has been the best investment I have bought. For £659, the whole collection has been a dream to use, easy to set up and collapse and more importantly easy to carry and steer as well as looking uber trendy!
The brand that the royal family use is ever popular with many mums, and I totally fell in love with their nursery furniture, the Nostalgia range. The quality of these products are fabulous…sturdy, safe and stylish! The baby changing unit was our first purchase and next on the list is the sleigh cot bed. The set also provides a wardrobe which will be the final piece of our furniture set, probably sooner rather than later with the rate baby’s clothing collection is filling up!
My next post will be when baby finally arrives, including my full birthing story….so stay tuned!
